Our Day Out is a funny, honest, and big-hearted portrait of youth on the brink of adulthood. When a group of underprivileged school children pile onto a coach for a day trip to the countryside, what begins as a welcome escape from the classroom becomes something far more revealing.
As the day unfolds, with mischief, rebellion and moments of unexpected tenderness, Willy Russell’s much loved play captures the energy, vulnerability,and defiance of teenagers searching for identity and opportunity in a world that hasn’t always believed in them.
Presented by our talented Youth Theatre, their annual production is a celebration of young voices, bold storytelling, and the transformative power of performance. Bursting with humour, heart and raw honesty, Our Day Out promises laughter, reflection, and a reminder that every young person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.
