Our roadmap out of shutdown
The health and well-being of our members and patrons is our top priority, and we are planning to work towards a truly safe environment for everyone, even though it means taking a cautious approach.
After much discussion, we have decided there will be no pantomime this year. It was a very, very difficult decision. We all wanted the pantomime to go ahead but we felt the risks and difficulties involved were too great to take the chance.
We will look forward to hopefully being able to stage our usual all-singing, all-dancing fun extravaganza in 2022 and give the audience a 40th Anniversary Cinderella to remember.
There will be an in-house production, in the auditorium, late autumn, to which all members will be invited. This will be run as close to a ‘normal’ production as possible. We will ask for feedback on all aspects and departments in relation to covid safeguarding.
If this is satisfactory we will have a 5 night public production early in 2022, followed by a Youth Theatre show.
And eventually, in late spring we should be able to present a full production.
We have installed a new ventilation system in the rehearsal room at the warehouse and we are purchasing at least 2 fogging machines to sterilise the theatre after use.
And there will always be plenty of wipes and sprays around the theatre and warehouse.
Please keep looking at this web site as further information becomes available we will post it here.
