Grove Park Theatre has launched a new-look website, with the aim of making it easier for local people to find out about forthcoming productions and what is going on at the theatre.
The new site builds on the web presence Grove Park has had for a number of years, and includes new features such as details of past productions, information about theatre facilities, history of the theatre, and updates on building developments. There are also links for people to follow the theatre on Facebook and Twitter, and a section specifically for members, who can log in to access members-only news and event details. In the near future the site will also offer a facility for having the latest news sent directly to your own computer.
The website also includes a link to the theatre’s online booking facility, which was launched last year and has proved immensely popular. Tickets are already selling for the next production, The Herbal Bed, which opens on 4 February.
The theatre’s Publicity Director, Terry Marland, said: “We are very pleased with the new site and hope that our audiences and members will appreciate the new features. As with all websites, it is still a work in progress. We have lots of ideas for more useful content that we can add, such as more photos from productions, copies of our newsletter, not to mention more information about what people can get involved in around the theatre.
“We would encourage everyone to take a look at the site and see what they think – we are more than happy to receive feedback and suggestions as to what we could do in the future. Just contact us via the form on the website!”
