Grove Park Theatre is Wrexham’s oldest amateur theatre. The society was formed in 1925, initially as Grove Park Old Boys’ Amateur Dramatic Society, and the group moved into its current building on Hill Street in 1954. We joined the Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain in 1975, and recently celebrated our 80th anniversary with a ‘Season of Comedy’.

We are a society run entirely by volunteers. Full members manage everything, from choosing what plays we put on right through to what is stocked in the bar. We welcome new members in all areas: acting, set design and construction, technical (decor, lights, sound), wardrobe, make-up, props, front of house, administration, publicity - the list goes on.
If you are interested in joining the theatre, why not contact us and find out what you can get involved in?
If you are more interested in coming to watch our plays than take part in them, you can take advantage of our supporter membership scheme and receive vouchers for all our plays at greatly reduced costs.
